ampersand international arts is excited to announce the collaboration with the curatorial team Out of Hands Onto Walls (OHOW), presenting the exhibition “Street Noise & Tethers”.

OHOW is a curatorial and art collective cultivating and sustaining the artist community within the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Their venues change with every event depending on the theme of the show, utilizing spaces small and large from a box truck to a production studio. Each event is thoughtfully curated to reflect a specific theme through content, space and audience.

ampersand international arts will be hosting “Street Noise & Tethers”, an exploration of the juxtapositions at play with urban landscapes and the sanctuary of home. This exhibition is a personal and interactive journey through the eyes of Bay Area based, mixed medium and graphic design artists, Patrick Sean Gibson and Sam O’Leary.

Patrick Sean Gibson's work explores the time spent walking place-to-place in San Francisco. From honks, white noise of cars passing by, skateboards rolling on bricks, pigeons bobbing, to people conversing, Gibson's “Street Noise” brings the city sights and sounds together in a physical form.

“Tethers” references Sam O’Leary's time spent living between hemispheres, in the United States, New Zealand and Australia. He explores places, people, and emotions that tie those worlds together as a continuous and singular home.

Please visit the gallery to view this stimulating collaboration beginning Friday, February 13th through Friday, March 27th 2015.
